SINGAPORE: Singapore Airlines and Tourism Western Australia (TWA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly promote tourism to Western Australia.
Under the three-year partnership, they will jointly fund marketing campaigns and actively promote inbound tourism to Western Australia by way of Singapore Airlines' services between Singapore and Perth.
"We are privileged to work with TWA and the forming of this strategic partnership is testament to our strong commitment to the Australian market. With Singapore Airlines' extensive network, I am confident that we will encourage more visitors to see the beautiful sights and attractions Western Australia has to offer," said Mr Goh Choon Phong, Singapore Airlines' Executive Vice President, Marketing and the Regions.
Ms Stephanie Buckland, TWA's Acting Chief Executive Officer, said that the focus in the first year would be on three key international markets for Western Australia - Germany, Singapore and China.
"Our Experience Extraordinary campaign ties perfectly in with these markets because visitors from these countries seek something a little different," Ms Buckland said.
