SINGAPORE: Four exemplary teachers were honoured with the 2010 President's Award for Teachers from President SR Nathan at the Istana this evening.
They are Madam Emelyn Soon Bee Hong from CHIJ Kellock School, Mr Devindra Sapai Indrapasi from Seng Kang Primary School, Miss Teh Wan from Townsville Primary School and Mrs Mohana Eswaran from Regent Secondary School.
The Education Ministry described them as inspiring teachers who have demonstrated passion, innovation and dedication in teaching.
The award recognises the commitment of teachers towards the total development of students and to nation-building. - CNA/fa
