SINGAPORE : The arm of a crane has smashed into the ceiling of the Fort Canning tunnel.

The accident took place at the tunnel's entrance on Sunday afternoon.

Eyewitnesses said that the lorry equipped with a crane was travelling towards Penang Road when the accident happened.

One eyewitness said that the lorry failed to retract the crane when it was entering the tunnel.
