SPH CEO Alan Chan appointed member of PSC

SINGAPORE: The President has appointed Mr Alan Chan Heng Loon as a member of the Public Service Commission (PSC) from September 6, 2010, for a five-year term.

Mr Chan is currently on the boards of Singapore Press Holdings Ltd and its associate companies, Singapore Power Pte Ltd and its associate companies, MediaCorp TV Pte Ltd and MediaCorp Press Pte Ltd and OpenNet Pte Ltd.

He is also the Chairman of the Urban Redevelopment Authority and the Corporate Governance Council.

With the latest appointment, PSC now has 12 members assisting the Chairman, Eddie Teo.

Under the Constitution, the PSC can have up to 14 members, besides the chairman. - CNA/fa
