SINGAPORE: The annual mid-autumn festival will be making a comeback to Chinatown on Thursday, September 9.

Besides the nightly stage shows and street bazaar, Singapore's largest photo mosaic lantern will also be featured during the festival.

The mid-autumn festival is traditionally held on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, which falls on September 22 this year.

The month-long celebrations will run till October 10.

With the theme "A Celebration in Unity", this year's activities also aim to engage not just the Chinese community, but tourists, new citizens and other ethnic groups.

The event is organised by the Kreta Ayer Kim Seng Citizens' Consultative Committee. - CNA/fa
