India's Law Minister to visit Singapore

SINGAPORE: India's Minister for Law and Justice Dr M. Veerappa Moily will visit Singapore over the next two days, from September 8 to 9.

The Law Ministry said Dr Moily and his Singapore counterpart K Shanmugam will discuss issues relating to the development of legal sector, including the growth of the arbitration sector, in both countries and mutual co-operation in that area.

Dr Moily will also give the keynote address at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre's Conference, "India: Prime Global Business Destination - An Arbitral Perspective", on Wednesday.

He will also visit Maxwell Chambers, the Law Society, and the Singapore Management University's Law School.

Dr Moily will also call on Chief Justice Chan Sek Keong and Speaker of Parliament Mr Abdullah Tarmugi.
