SINGAPORE : Three religious organisations in Singapore have joined hands to raise S$140,000 to help flood-ravaged Pakistan.
Jamiyah Singapore, the Buddhist Lodge and Taoist Federation handed over the funds to the Pakistan High Commissioner on Tuesday.
The money will be channelled to the Pakistan people through an official fund.
Last year, Jamiyah Singapore had also worked with Buddhists, Taoists, Hindu and Christian organisations to raise some S$200,000 for other relief efforts.
This was sent to countries such as Indonesia and Laos to help those caught in natural calamities. - CNA /ls
