SINGAPORE: The German State Secretary for Defence Rüdiger Wolf called on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) on Tuesday.
Mr Wolf, who's in Singapore from September 6 to 8, also attended the 5th Singapore-Germany Defence Policy Dialogue conducted by MINDEF and the German Federal Ministry of Defence.
The Defence Policy Dialogue was co-chaired by Permanent Secretary for Defence Chiang Chie Foo and Mr Wolf.
MINDEF said since its inception in 2004, the Defence Policy Dialogue has matured into a regular platform for both countries to discuss defence cooperation and strategic developments of mutual interest.
As part of his visit, Mr Wolf also visited the Headquarters Armour at Sungei Gedong.
MINDEF said Mr Wolf's visit underscores the good defence relationship between Singapore and Germany.
Both countries concluded a bilateral Defence Cooperation Agreement in September 2005, and interact regularly through high-level defence visits, military courses and professional exchanges, as well as defence technology cooperation.
