SINGAPORE: A senior technical officer who was from the National Environment Agency has been charged with 15 counts of corruption involving $128,980.
Forty-six-year-old Oh Hian Kee allegedly received the money from Tan Boon Gee, who was a director at Mincon Engineering, a company that deals with cranes.
Oh, who was attached to the Tuas South Incineration Plant, is accused of accepting the cash between May 2006 and August 2009.
It's believed this was in exchange for helping Tan secure projects at the facility.
A pre-trial conference for this case will be held on October 21.
If convicted, for each charge, Oh could be jailed up to seven years, fined a maximum of S$100,000 or both.
