SINGAPORE: Police have arrested three suspects aged between 35 and 47 who are believed to have stolen bicycles in Jurong West.

After a spate of bicycle thefts in the area, police conducted a stakeout at Jurong Central Park on 2 February.

At about 4pm, police spotted the trio behaving suspiciously in the area.

They were holding a bicycle each.

They were seen offering the bicycles for sale to passers-by.

Police conducted checks on the trio and found tools used to commit bicycle theft, such as a bolt cutter, on them.

They were arrested and investigations are on-going.

Anyone found guilty of theft could be fined, jailed for up to three years or both.
