Singapore, Malaysian navies conduct exercise in Malacca Straits

SINGAPORE : The Singapore and Malaysian Navies are conducting a bilateral exercise in the Malacca Straits from January 5 to January 14.

The 16th in the series, Exercise MALAPURA is hosted by the Republic of Singapore Navy this year.

The exercise will involve a total of six ships from the two navies.

One of the highlights is maritime security focusing on co-ordinated maritime surveillance in the Malacca Straits. - CNA
