SINGAPORE : Thirty countries around the world are observing Safer Internet Day on February 8 and Singapore's Parents Advisory Group for the Internet (PAGi) is joining them to promote a safer Internet environment for all citizens, especially the young.
PAGi says while research shows youths aged 13 and 15 years are most at risk over Internet safety issues, many parents are not aware of the different dangers their children face.
So this year, PAGi will be launching several Internet safety programmes addressing the information divide between Singapore's youth and their parents.
In the pipeline are conferences and seminars on aspects of online youth culture that is fast emerging.
There will also be a survey report on gaming habits of Singaporeans. - CNA
