The Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH) says it has implemented better financial and governance systems.
It adds that stability within the executive committee and staff has also returned.
With its house now in order, the SAVH feels it is ready to apply for funding from the authorities within three months.
Last year, the National Council of Social Service requested for an inquiry into the SAVH's work and found weaknesses in areas such as corporate governance and management of financial and procurement procedures.
Now, the SAVH has cleaned up its act by making sure that, for example, expenditure for any item is approved by two specific management executives.
The SAVH also expects a new executive director to start work on 1 November. - CNA/ir
