Laos DPM to visit Singapore for 5-day official trip

SINGAPORE : The Deputy Prime Minister of Laos, Mr Somsavat Lengsavad, will make a five-day official visit to Singapore from Dec 17-21.

His visit is at the invitation of Professor S Jayakumar, Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security.

During his visit, Mr Lengsavad will meet Professor Jayakumar and be briefed at various ministries and statutory boards on Singapore's public governance and socio-economic development.

Mr Lengsavad will be accompanied by his wife Mrs Bounkongmany Lengsavad, Laos Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Mrs Onechanh Thammavong, and senior officials. - CNA /ls
