SINGAPORE: There is a new way for viewers to find out more about their favourite Chinese news reporters and readers.

Just log on to
xin.sg, a new website launched by MediaCorp News.

Check out the latest in entertainment and lifestyle, keep in touch with breaking news or find out just what makes Chinese reporters tick from reading their blogs online.

These are just a few of the things you can do on xin.sg or 'xing dong wang' in Mandarin.

Ng Kee Haur, Editor, xin.sg, said: "We provide a wide variety of information online. There's even a segment on the latest IT trend and gadgets."

More importantly, xin.sg is a platform for you to be a citizen journalist!

Snapped a moving news photo? Filmed a video of a scenic landscape? Upload it to xin.sg, which aims to be the online canvas for the web savvy generation.

And you can start logging on from Friday.

MediaCorp News also runs channelnewsasia.com, which was named the number one website for television for the second year running in 2006 by Hitwise, an online intelligence service company.
