SINGAPORE: Today was to have been the day former NKF chief TT Durai would find out if he would walk free from his criminal trial - but proceedings could not go on as he was taken ill.

Durai complained in court on Monday afternoon that he was not feeling well.

On Tuesday, his medical certificate stated he has an upper respiratory tract infection.

Judgement will be made in court on Wednesday, provided Durai turns up.

More than 10 members of the public had gathered in the courtroom to hear the much anticipated judgement. - CNA/yy
