SINGAPORE: The Japanese art of making "crystal mobile phones" has come to the heartlands.

Mobile phone owners have been attending workshops held at their Community Clubs to jazz up their phones with crystals.

It is a fad that is currently popular in Japan.

But it is not just about adding crystals in a haphazard manner – there is a technique to it, hence the lessons in design creation.
