SINGAPORE : Caldecott Productions International (CPI), which is MediaCorp's HD Company, will release a new slate of programmes on India and China this year.

In August, it will showcase "Heroes of India" - a series of seven stories on how ordinary Indians have changed their social environment.

And in the lead-up to the Beijing Olympics next year, CPI will put the spotlight on China. It will produce special documentaries on topics such as tea drinking and paper art.

CPI will be promoting these programmes at MIPDOC, an international showcase for documentary screenings, and at MIPTV, the world's audio-visual and digital content market, later this month.

Also heading for these international fairs are programmes on Asia's environmental issues and other titles which were licensed to CPI by French and South Korean companies. - CNA/de
