SM Goh on four-day official visit to China

SINGAPORE : Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong will make an official four-day visit to China from Monday at the invitation of the Chinese government.

A statement from the Prime Minister's Office says while in Beijing, Mr Goh will meet Premier Wen Jiabao.

He will also meet State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission Chairman Li Rongrong. National People's Congress Vice Chairman Jiang Zhenghua will host dinner for Mr Goh.

Senior Minister Goh will attend the Expo Central China 2007 in Zhengzhou City, Henan where he will also address a forum at the Expo and meet Vice Premier Wu Yi.

Mr Goh will be accompanied by Mrs Goh, Minister of State for Trade and Industry Lee Yi Shyan, and Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Environment and Water Resources Dr Amy Khor. - CNA /ls
