Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his delegation have arrived in Bali for the signing of two agreements with Indonesia.
These are the Extradition Treaty and the Defence Cooperation Agreement.
Both Mr Lee and the Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will witness the signing ceremony which will take place at Bali's Tampak Siring Palace.
The Foreign and Defence Ministers from both countries will be the signatories.
Before the signing ceremony, both Prime Minister Lee and President Yudhoyono are due to have a meeting before they are joined by the respective delegations from both countries.
Speaking in Parliament earlier this year, Minister George Yeo had informed Singaporeans that the talks on the extradition treaty and the defence cooperation agreement were being elevated to Ministerial level so that they could be jointly concluded on the basis of 'an overall balance of benefits' agreed between Prime Minister Lee and President Yudhoyono.
Singapore and Indonesia announced on Monday that both agreements had been finalised after Ministers from both countries met in Singapore. - CNA/ch
