SINGAPORE: As Spiderman 3 swings into Singapore, a charity screening of the movie here has raised S$94,000.

Organised by SMRT, the event is part of the company's Silver Tribute Fund which is dedicated to help the elderly.

Guest of honour at Wednesday evening's show was Minister in Prime Minister's Office Mr Lim Boon Heng.

Besides this charity movie screening, SMRT also raised funds through events such as a gala concert and a flag day.

So far, close to S$350,000 has been pooled for the fund since its launch in December last year. - CNA/yy
