SINGAPORE: Channel NewsAsia has struck gold in the image campaign category at the Promax/BDA Awards, gaining recognition for its rebranding efforts.
The win came less than a year after it hired leading London-based broadcast design company English & Pockett to revamp its image.
And everything – from the channel's on-air look to its in-house trailers and colour scheme – took on a sharper and more dynamic look.
Channel NewsAsia's sleek look won the nod from judges at the Promax/BDA Awards.
Woon Tai Ho, Managing Director, MediaCorp News, said: "This is perfect timing! After the revamp, Channel NewsAsia has really consolidated. Locally, we're going through our best rating season yet.
"But more importantly, we're extending our reach extensively abroad, especially in China. So with this international award, it gives us a lot of confidence going forward."
Channel NewsAsia will ride on the recognition of this award as it beefs up its production of current affairs programmes and documentaries, especially for the international audience.
