SINGAPORE : President S R Nathan was conferred the Eminent Alumni Award by the National University of Singapore on Thursday.

The prestigious award honours NUS alumni who have contributed significantly to their professions, society and Singapore.

Former recipients include Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and former Deputy Prime Minister Tony Tan.

Other accolades given out at the ceremony included the Distinguished Alumni Service Award and the Outstanding Young Alumni Award. - CNA /ls
