SINGAPORE: Boosting racial harmony through sport – that is the aim of the Harmony Cup.

It is a collaborative effort between Hwa Chong Institution and four secondary schools - Greenridge, Telok Kurau, West Sping and Zhenghua.

The soccer tournament, which began earlier this month, has received much support from players, teachers and parents.

The finals on Friday was a colourful event coinciding with Hwa Chong's Racial Harmony Day celebrations.

Senior Minister of State for Law and Home Affairs, and President of the Football Association of Singapore, Associate Professor Ho Peng Kee was the guest of honour. - CNA/yy
