SINGAPORE: Taiwan's Yang Ching-Shun has won the Guinness 9-Ball Tour Singapore leg at the Orchid Country Club.

Yang beat Malaysia Ibrahim Amir 11 to 8 racks or games, to walk away with US$15,000 in prize money.

The final was close up to the 18 game with the score 9 to 8 in Yang's favour, before he won two games in a row to clinch the final.

Yang had earlier beat his compatriot Wu Chia-Ching to get to the final, while Ibrahim swept aside Philippino Alex Pagulayan in the other semi-final.

Yang also won the Kaohsiung leg of the tournament in May. - CNA/yy
