SINGAPORE : It would be hard for NSmen to do their stints well without supportive employers, especially in today's competitive environment and open labour market.

To recognise their efforts, the Defence Ministry has been organising an annual event for more than two decades to award employers.

250 of them were honoured at this year's event.

Also recognised were civil resource owners who provide essential resources and services during emergencies.

This year's Total Defence Awards ceremony is co-organised by the Home Affairs Ministry and Defence Ministry. - CNA /ls
