Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to visit Singapore

SINGAPORE: Vietnam's Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will be in Singapore for a two-day introductory visit starting 13 August at the invitation of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

During the trip, Mr Dung is expected to call on President S R Nathan and hold separate meetings with Mr Lee, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew.

Also on the agenda is a business lunch hosted by IE Singapore, where Mr Dung is expected to call for greater economic cooperation and investments.

Mr Dung will also be hosted to a dinner at the Istana by PM Lee.

The Vietnamese prime minister will be accompanied by his wife, Tran Thanh Kiem, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Gia Khiem, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh, Natural Resources and Environment Minister Pham Khoi Nguyen, senior officials and a business delegation.
