SINGAPORE : The 20th Singapore Fashion Week will be held from October 12 to 21.
On display will be works by budding designers and international brand names.
This year also marks the 30th anniversary of ASEAN Federation of Textile Industries, as well as Singapore's entry into the Asia Fashion Federation, which was founded by Japan, Korea and China.
But amidst all the glitz and glamour, the social cause is not forgotten.
Organisers are holding a T-shirt exhibition to raise awareness and dispel discrimination against HIV/AIDS.
Fashion Shares will showcase more than 50 T-shirts designed by local personalities, ranging from artists to politicians.
Organised by the Health Promotion Board and the Textile and Federation, the exhibition allows each designer to creatively express his or her views based on the theme, Raising Awareness and Dispelling Discrimination against HIV/AIDS.
The T-shirts will be displayed at VivoCity from October 12 to 21. - CNA/ms
