SINGAPORE : Humanitarian organisation Mercy Relief said it has activated its Operations Centre in response to the earthquake in Indonesia.

It said it is currently on standby and is ready to deploy a team of two paramedics and two logisticians to the quake site.

This is to help assess and make preparations for follow-up disaster response teams, should there be a need. - CNA/ms
