S'pore studying US sanctions on 3 firms linked to Myanmar national

SINGAPORE : The US Embassy here has informed Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs of sanctions imposed by the US on three companies based in Singapore.

The companies are linked to Tay Za - a Myanmar national.

A Ministry spokesman said the implications of the US sanctions are still not entirely clear.

The Ministry is studying them and will seek further clarification, if necessary. - CNA/ms
