VIETNAM: Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, who is on a visit to Vietnam, hosted former Vietnamese Prime Minister Phan Van Khai to breakfast on Saturday.

It has been some years since the contemporaries last met.

In an hour-long meeting on Saturday, the old friends exchanged views on the good state of bilateral relations.

Initiatives which they had pushed for have now been implemented and developed,
including the Vietnam-Singapore Connectivity Agreement to boost economic cooperation. - CNA/ir
