SINGAPORE : To encourage more children to play outdoor, an American company has developed what is known as a sonic playground.

Located at One North, the playground is aimed at teaching kids about the physics of sound.

The furniture in the playground may look like ordinary chairs and tables but they have been specially designed to let children have fun while learning about sound.

The people at One North paid between a few thousand and 10,000 Singapore dollars for each piece in the play area.

The company that designed this playground has already come up with more than 20 such playgrounds, including one at Margaret Drive. - CNA/ch
