Minister Yaacob to visit Mideast from 22-29 March

SINGAPORE: Environment and Water Resources Minister Dr Yaacob Ibrahim will visit the Middle East from 22-29 March.

He will call on senior leaders of Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman and Bahrain to reaffirm Singapore's close ties and renew friendships.

Dr Yaacob will also lead a Singaporean business delegation, comprising water and environmental companies, to explore opportunities with their counterparts in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

In Bahrain, Minister Yaacob will meet the overseas Singaporean community over dinner.

He will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry, PUB, National Environment Agency and International Enterprise Singapore. - CNA/ir
