President of France's UMP in town for two-day visit

SINGAPORE: The president of France's Union pour un Mouvement Populaire (UMP) is in town for a two-day visit.

Mr Jean-Francois Cope will call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, Lee Boon Yang, and Foreign Minister George Yeo.

He will also be meeting his Singapore counterpart, Labour Chief Lim Swee Say.

The union leader is scheduled to meet members from various Singapore think tanks as well.
