France's UMP leader, PM Lee discuss developments in Asia and Europe

SINGAPORE: Leader of the Parliamentary Group of the Union pour un Mouvement Populaire party in France's National Assembly, Mr Jean-Francois Copé, called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Thursday morning at the Istana.

During the call, Mr Lee and Mr Copé exchanged views on a wide range of issues, including ways to further strengthen cooperation between France and Singapore, and developments in East Asia and Europe.

Mr Lee also updated Mr Copé on ASEAN's integration efforts.

Mr Copé is here as the distinguished visitor of the Singapore International Foundation and will open the French Corner at the National Library Board on Friday.
