Awards presented to S'pore's 7th International Abylimpics team

SINGAPORE: An awards presentation was held on Thursday afternoon to celebrate and recognise the achievements of Singapore's Abilympics team.

The Abilympics are similar to the Para-Olympics and is held every four years for people with disabilities.

The ceremony paid tribute to the Singapore team which went to Japan for the 7th International Abilympics in 2007.

Singapore came in 8th out of 31 countries involved.

Singapore has been competing in the Abilympics since 1995. - CNA/vm
