SINGAPORE: Singapore's most glamorous and fashionable festival is back for its seventh year.

However, this year’s festival is extra special as it boasts the largest marquee ever built on Orchard Road.

This 10-day festival will see close to 800 lip products and around 1,000 pieces of eye and face products being used.

And kicking off this year's festival is UK designer Matthew Williamson, a designer whose line revolves around colours, textures and prints.

He said: "The inspiration is really about my friends, everytime I phone them they're all in different cities, all around the world. So I wanted the collection to have a very global feel."

And what fashion show will ever be complete without the supermodels?

Here for the first time is one of UK's top supermodel, Erin O'Conner.

Despite her 12 years of modelling experience, she will be embarking on something that she has never done in her career.

And that is strutting her stuff down a 72-feet long runway.

She said: “This catwalk that we have at the Singapore festival is the longest catwalk I think I've ever walked so that's fantastic. I imagine my calves will look very toned and healthy by the end of the show."

With an expected 20,000 guests for the festival, it seems like there will be something for everyone. - CNA/vm
