SINGAPORE: Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said its senior officials will meet the US and North Korean sides separately.

MFA said "these meetings are to discuss bilateral matters and are not related to the six-party talks".

US Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill and North Korean Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye-Gwan arrived in Singapore on Monday.

They are due to hold talks on Tuesday to revive stalled discussions over North Korea's nuclear ambitions. - CNA/ac
