Prof Walter Woon takes over as Attorney-General from April 11

SINGAPORE: Former Attorney-General, Chao Hick Tin, has been sworn in as Judge of Appeal.

President S R Nathan presided over the ceremony, which was held at the Istana on Friday.

Mr Chao's new position at the Supreme Court covers a period of two years.

Professor Walter Woon, a former diplomat and Nominated Member of Parliament who was instrumental in introducing the Maintenance of Parents Bill in Parliament, takes over as the Attorney-General for a two-year term from Friday.
