SINGAPORE: The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) said as of Monday, it has received 926,000 tax returns, 80 per cent of those who are required to file a return.

Among those who have filed their tax returns, 88 per cent did so electronically, either via the Internet or phone. This is a higher proportion compared to last year, when 80 per cent filed electronically.

The e-filing system was introduced in 1998.

Those who have not filed their tax returns will have until Friday to submit their tax forms
online.

Those who need help filing their tax returns can contact IRAS at 1800-252-5011 or visit the e-filing service centres around Singapore. - CNA/ac
