SINGAPORE: Deputy chairman of International Enterprise Singapore, Sunny Verghese, will take over from Euleen Goh as chairman of the board on Tuesday.

Ms Goh will be stepping down after three years of service as the board's chairperson.

A joint statement from the Ministry of Trade and Industry and IE Singapore said Ms Goh's astute leadership was instrumental in leading the board's smooth transition into its new role to promote trade and help Singapore-based companies internationalise.

During Ms Goh's tenure on the board, several key initiatives were launched, including Network India and Network Indonesia.

A wide range of programmes, including iPartners and the Enterprise Fund, was also made available to help Singapore companies develop capabilities and provide them with access to capital for internationalisation.

Mr Verghese is also the group managing director and chief executive officer of Olam International. - CNA/ac
