SINGAPORE: Education Minister Dr Ng Eng Hen will be in Berlin, Germany, to attend the inaugural Asia-Europe (ASEM) Education Ministers' Meeting from 5 to 6 May.
Education ministers from Asia and Europe will discuss cooperation between European and Asian countries in the areas of higher education and vocational training, among others.
While in Berlin, Dr Ng will meet with his German counterparts in education and defence.
He will also visit schools and educational institutions in both Germany and the UK.
The education minister will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Education, principals and teachers.
Dr Ng, who is also Singapore's second defence minister, will then go on to visit the United Kingdom from 6 to 8 May. - CNA/ac
