Rwanda's President Kagame visits Singapore

SINGAPORE: Rwanda's President Paul Kagame will make an official visit to Singapore from May 20 to May 23 at the invitation of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

This will be President Kagame's first official visit to Singapore.

President Kagame will be accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Rosemary Museminali, Minister of Public Service and Labour, Murekezi Anastase, and other officials.

During his visit, President Kagame will call on President S.R. Nathan and meet Mr Lee.

Mr Lee will also host an official dinner in honour of the visiting President.

President Kagame will deliver a public lecture entitled "Africa and Rwanda: From Crisis to Socioeconomic Development" organised by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.

He will also visit the Singapore Cooperation Enterprise, an Institute of Technical Education and meet Singapore businessmen. - CNA/de
