SINGAPORE: A group of male netizens of MediaCorp's Chinese web portal xin.sg signed up for a cooking class at the Mandarin Oriental hotel on Sunday.
They picked up culinary tips from Michelin staff chef Mario Corti, who is the executive sous chef at the Mandarin Oriental.
Carefully explaining each step of the process, chef Corti made cooking seem easy, whipping up champagne risotto and Crepe Suzette in under 20 minutes.
Chef Corti said that when it comes to the end product of cooking, gender is not an issue at all.
He said: "When the men are starting to cook at home, your kitchen looks like a bomb. That's why it's much better when a woman is cooking, because then it's always clean. But in the end, when you have the finished dish on the table, there is no difference." - CNA/vm
