'Red Cliff' tops local box office for 3 days, making S$1.03m

SINGAPORE: John Woo's latest movie, 'Red Cliff' has generated S$1.03 million since its opening last Friday. It has also topped the local box office for the first three days of its release.

The movie is co-distributed by MediaCorp Raintree Pictures, Scorpio East Pictures and Golden Village Pictures.

The movie tells the story of the famous battle of Red Cliff during the period of the Three Kingdoms in China.

It features a stellar cast, including Tony Leung Chiu-Wai, Takeshi Kaneshiro and Zhang Fengyi. - CNA/vm
