Foreign Minister Yeo meets North Korea's Pak Ui Chun

SINGAPORE: Singapore's Foreign Minister George Yeo and his North Korean counterpart, Pak Ui Chun, have expressed hope for constructive and positive meetings during the upcoming ASEAN Regional Forum on Thursday.

According to a statement from the Singapore Foreign Affairs Ministry, the two leaders met on Tuesday on the sidelines of the ongoing ASEAN Ministerial Meeting in Singapore.

The ministers discussed recent developments in the relations between the two Koreas, as well as between North Korea and ASEAN.

Mr Pak is in Singapore at the invitation of Mr Yeo.

While in Singapore, Mr Pak will attend meetings held in conjunction with the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting, including the ASEAN Regional Forum.
