SINGAPORE: Singapore Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation has elected Mr M. Letchmenon as its new president.

67-year-old Letchmenon takes over from past president Richard Teng who stepped down after a year in office.

Mr Letchmenon was unanimously elected at an Extraordinary General Meeting by all affiliates present.

He had served as general-secretary for 17 years under Paul Chua, the head before Teng, during his tenure.

Among the new president's priorities is the strengthening of the Anti-Doping Programme by conducting seminars for all athletes and clubs on a national basis. - CNA/vm
