SINGAPORE : Major bakeries and bread companies in Singapore, including companies like Gardenia, Sunshine, BreadTalk, Delifrance and PrimaDeli, said they do not use any dairy products from China in their ingredients.

They told Channel NewsAsia they source their milk products from New Zealand, Australia or Europe.

On average, the companies have been handling fewer than 10 calls a day from concerned consumers and so far, business has not been affected by the melamine scare.

Separately, Kraft Foods said its products are safe regardless of where it's manufactured.

These include Kraft Oreo products made in China. The company said the products do not contain milk powder from China. - CNA /ls
