SINGAPORE: After a four-year successful run at the Bedok Reservoir in the eastern part of the island, the Singapore leg of the Wakeboard World Cup event has a new venue.

Located right in the heart of the city, the Marina Bay Floating Platform promises to add even more thrills and spills to the fast-paced action.

Paul Fong, Events Director of the Singapore Waterski and Wakeboard Federation, said: "Every year, we try to improve on the event. We try and bring it to the next level, we try to liven it up, so that's why we are looking at a new venue which has a different kind of scenery.

"We have a vast amount of water out there that we can use both for the competition and for the public to try out various forms of water sports."
