Khaw Boon Wan to attend 9th ASEAN Health Ministers Meeting

SINGAPORE: Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan will be attending the 9th ASEAN Health Ministers Meeting in Manila from Wednesday to Friday.

Mr Khaw will be accompanied by senior officials from the ministry.

On the agenda are the region's preparedness for a pandemic, the impact of natural or man-made disasters, and updates on the ASEAN Charter and the ASEAN Socio-cultural Community Blueprint.

The ASEAN leaders will also meet with their counterparts from China, Japan and Korea to discuss regional collaboration in public health.
